What is Lumos?

Lumos enables individuals to verify their uniqueness in services that are not currently integrated with BrightID.

For instance, despite Telegram not being integrated with BrightID, Lumos enables using BrightID verification to have fair polling on Telegram.

Until the time when services like Twitter, Instagram,… integrate with BrightID, Lumos is there to help.

Where can we use Lumos?

It can be used for polling features on Telegram, Instagram, etc. poll watchers can delete the votes of those who are not verified on BrightID and makes sure that each account has only one vote. This could improve polling in social media by using BrightID and at no costs or development.

It can also help UBI and charities that cannot or do not want to deal with BrightID integration, webpage creation, advertisement, etc..

Lots of online services require emails for registration. Lumos can help these services to have verified users in their community and make sure each user is unique.

What is Lumos Telegram-bot?

We developed a telegram-bot that can start a poll and show the results based on BrightID-verified users’ votes only.

What if I link LadyGaga’s Instagram to my BrightID on Lumos?

It is not bad for LadyGaga to be verified on Lumos with someone else’s BrightID account. It is pretty bad for the one who does that because everyone can only verify one Instagram account on Lumos.

Can I change my Instagram account on Lumos?

Yes, you can, and the other account will be unverified.

Why would you trust our database?

The data is currently stored in a non-transparent database with exclusive access for the team. But what if we add some extra and not verified accounts to our database. At the moment, whoever wants to use Lumos needs to trust us with the database but we are going to develop a smart-contract to do the linking process in the future.
